“One of my goals is to visit the 81 provinces of the Philippines. In fact, I have this color coded map handy and so far, I visited more than 30 towns.” shared by Mary Jen Sen Chua.
Jen, as her friends fondly call her, loves to explore and travel to various towns and cities in the country. She put her effort in researching and planning her itinerary months before the actual tour, making sure that she will be able to experience the culture, the adventure and most especially the food.
“I meet a lot of people during my trips and some became my friends!” Jen is usually seen with her big backpack, solo or accompanied with friends. You can find her climbing mountains, under the water or up there in the sky for an adventure. A thrill-seeker as she is, she finds fun and relaxation in her countless trips.
For every trip, nature is a big part of her adventure. “As someone who values local trips and adventures, I make sure that I follow the local policies when it comes to cleanliness and generally be mindful of not doing anything harmful to the environment."
“Same reason why I immediately agree when Mondo Project invited me for a photoshoot. I believe in their cause since I put allot of time exploring our country and its nature.” Expressed by her.
“I want to share the same experience I get in traveling to the next generation. I hope that someday, our nature will be more beautiful and more sustainable.”
Just like Jen, we believe that every traveler must know the rules of every trip: Take nothing but pictures, leave nothing but footprints, and kill nothing but time.
